Does anybody with a problem (obviously not me or you) ever answer these honestly ? If the amount of commercial pilots I know answered the questions honestly they would be considered to have a drinking AND mental health problem. Attitudes are changing but there are still some dinosaurs out there who consider 10 beers or a bottle of spirits every night normal behaviour without any consequences. Anybody diagnosed with ADHD is ruled out for a commercial hence people omit some information. 1 2
facthunter Posted 11 hours ago Posted 11 hours ago There's People everywhere with Mental health Problems, including Pilots. Same with alcoholism. In Places Like PNG it was chronic. Planes up there were flown OVERWEIGHT. The "P" charts were "PK" charts because PNG was considered "DEVELOPMENTAL by the equivalent of CASA. DCA I think. There's NO way those Planes would fly on one engine even at sea Level ley alone at the Height they had to fly in New Guinea. Maybe why that's why they drank so Much. They even took the Insulation out of the DC-3's to save weight so there Goes your Hearing as well.. Nev 1
