How many hours do you fly in a year?

Take some comfort (when you di finish) in the fact that about 50% of all aircraft building projects never get finished at all.

It's all good when you fly next; just keep the next flight dream alive.  You will enjoy the personal satisfaction of building and then after the first and subsequent flights.  There is no dead line.  Also its a common hearing about hitting the wall during the build process.

How much you retain depends on how much you had consolidated and some of it will have GONE.  Don't ASSUME you will still  somehow be ok on the day. Let some competent person (instructor) decide that. Maybe combine another endorsement with it. .  Nev

I enjoyed every minute of my 5 year build project. It was not full time obviously. I spent about 1000 hours in total. In the same 5 years I had several holidays, re-built a hangar, re-built part of a house and spent plenty of time with family etc.
