red750 Posted December 2, 2022 Posted December 2, 2022 I happened to come across a link to a blog which covered this aircraft. I have not created a profile for Unique Aircraft, because I have very little information about it and extensive searching of the net, using Google, duckduckgo search engines, and looking at a number of websites, including airliners.net, wikipedia and airport.data failed to locate any reference. Here is a link to the blog page: https://lumenosity.blogspot.com/2013/01/worlds-most-unique-aircraft-md-200199.html The only photos I could find are from that blog, and are reproduced below. 1
red750 Posted December 2, 2022 Author Posted December 2, 2022 Maybe I jumped a little quickly. Grabbing the N number from the above top photo, I checked the FAA registry, where it is listed as MD 220. There are a few more photos, but I will have to search for more details. It does not look like there is a Wikipedia entry for it. 1
facthunter Posted December 2, 2022 Posted December 2, 2022 It looks like something made for a movie set. Nev 1
red750 Posted December 2, 2022 Author Posted December 2, 2022 Well, after quite a bit of digging, I turned up sufficient info to create a profile, https://www.recreationalflying.com/aircraft/unique-aircraft/mcdonnell-119-r1429/ The first article I found got the model numbers mixed up 1
planedriver Posted December 5, 2022 Posted December 5, 2022 Thanks Peter. All this research and digging you do, keeps one older gent busy, and many more others intrigued. Rgds Planey 1
