I reckon there would have been and audible "SNAP!" as 400 sphincters closed in unison.

The horizontal stabiliser moves around a lot too. The 45 degree snap turn on the touchdown bounce must have really tested the undercarriage & tyres as well as passengers necks. Depending on how full it was there would probably be at least 400 tonnes being thrown around like a big leaf.

I think it was all helped by the wet runway. If it was dry with good grip the result may have been different. Either way its still a long way from a good landing.

should have diverted - if the gear had come up through the wings there would have been one giant fireball - if that's how Emirates fly I won't fly with them
