A news item on the Home page regarding "Air Force Light Plane nosedives in Legazpi Airport."

 

The photo shows a Fokker F27!

 

And the "nosedive" was a collapsed nosewheel.

They were made by Fairchild also. Nosewheel was originally castoring only but that didn't work, so it ended up using electric and hydraulic. Not the world's strongest item. (coupled with AIR brakes). Nev

If you look up the A380 Flying Club the F27 is called an Ultralight.
