    Years ago when I was a rep for HGFA on RAPAC, I arranged a visit for a bunch of Hangies to Eagle Farm( Bris), they were amazed at the good nature of all the controllers, and yes, the same simple sophistication. The idea was to help curb VCA's , but it did a lot more in time and every pilot should do this at some stage- there just normal( great) people doing a hard job trying to keep us all safe up there.

    The sundowner hotel is just on the corner, Tarmac takeaway is even closer. I suspect both will be closed Christmas day and perhaps longer for the takeaway,. THen there's Subway and MAcca,s too they never close!

    The stuff is realy going to hit the fan over this one. Everything that is alledged so far, if correct .Is going to have ramifications to the whole industry. This my friend like death and taxes is for certain....

    If only incidents such as these would lead to an introspective look at own practices, both in flying, decision making and maintenance rather than the speculative bet placing and judgement. The decisions and directions that come from accidents affect all of us, but the time taken from the moment you open the hangar to when you close it again is yours and your's only, you own every decision in between. This time is free and has been paid for by many aviators over the last hundred years and more. Look inside for safety- not in condemnation and opinion. Every time we fail to lookout, drift off centreline, forget a check or let a few knots slide by on final we are only potentially seconds away from similiar, and potentially worse fates. "The air like the sea is grossly unforgiving of errors in judgement." Want to be a judge- let's start and stop with ourselves.

    Hey tomo, we were doing NAVs past there yesterday, what trike was there? Macca x 4 are all awesome folks and we jumped together many times over the years, they run the best DZ in oz . I reckon you should get in there with him and their new van and get a turboprop endorsement and do jump work to get some hrs, best a/c in the sky IMHO. watch out for me out there, I'm full time now....

    I feel for Gai Taylor and her team of volunteers, much has been written on the northern rivers council and the development, and I am on the mailing list of the proposed airpark and if only I heard from them instead of the four hundred spam mails I get every week. Aviation seems to be losing it's hold on a historic airfield at Evans, a shame, as the last fly in was a cracker.

    Mine left Italy today and will be in our school hopefully by Xmas,With tecnams,CT's,a Texan and Savannah S we have an awesome range available for students and potential buyers to asses and learn on.Cant wait till the big orange chrissie present arrives. The 914 is going in a friends dads plane.

    Just arrived today, flew it and awesome with Adj CSU, 115kts and beautiful handling, check it out. Also the Savannah S due December as well! Weather was awesome in SE Qld today. bring on more....

    I was there!! In loose formation( 4000m away!) off central Bribie - even though they were way back on the curve , they left me and my student for dust- very impressive site. I kept checking I was sqwawking. Go Rino formation!! Something you definately don't see everyday.

    Looks very similar to my Colour Mark RAL 2004 pure orange,really almost red.... Very nice
