  1. where is the AV Da... app so you can pay your landing fees !
  2. The photo is sheep burr, usually in full seed head by now. they form seed balls (like Velcro) that get into any fabric or wool. Makes a real mess of the sheep fleece.. Thistles have wilted and dead. With Grazon blackberries show almost immediate leaf wilting but need longer to assess total Kill. Usually 12 months.
  3. Skippy, all good. The kill is confirmed. 14 days approx. after spraying.
  4. Agree with T510. Just had professional operator do 15ha by drone. Effective, efficient and quick with high success (blackberry, thistle and sheep burr) .Operated within 5m of tree line along my private plantation boundary. $100/Ha inc chemicals. Operator flew the paddock boundaries, entered wind direction and speed and the software did the rest. Have used helicopters previously with mixed results.

  6. I believe these are the requirements to carry and disclose your class 5 medical. CASA EX01/24 — Flight Crew Medical Status (Class 5 Medical Self‑declaration) Exemption 2024 Part 32 32 Conditions — record of class 5 medical self-declaration must be carried on aircraft and produced for inspection (1) A person who holds a private pilot licence or recreational pilot licence must not commence exercising the privileges of their licence in a single-pilot operation in an aircraft unless they are carrying a copy of their record of class 5 medical self‑declaration on the aircraft. (2) A person who holds a private pilot licence or recreational pilot licence must, on request of an authorised person, produce their record of class 5 medical self‑declaration for inspection by the person.

  9. is Moorabbin "owned" by Goodman or do they hold the 99 year lease from the Federal Government like many other secondary airports and if so local planning does not apply as the land is under federal planning laws although I may be wrong here.
  10. Had a 172 for 20 yrs then maintenance costs rose and rose then cids. Id had enough. Nice to get around in but maintenance cost creep was the killer. Also didnt use the full payload capability often. I went for an raa aircraft with much the same performance as fhe 172, cruse speed , approach and flair and suitable comfort for two plus 5hrs fuel and 20kg baggage. I found the lsa handled like a mixmaster in turbulance but soon learnt not to fight it and enjoy? the ride. Lsa will never be as comfortable as an aircraft twice its weight but can do long cross country and fun flying at half the cost. Also doing your own maintenance, if capable, ups your skill and respect for the aircraft and lowers the cost substantially.
  11. AS a 24 rego you will need approval from the manufacturer and a LOA or go experimental.
  12. Had the same problem a couple of weeks ago. Rang and was advised the bank payment went through but the system did not advise Clear Prop. They immediatly forwarded the items ordered. I suggest giving them a call.
  13. I am after a CZAW Sportcruiser / Piper Sport canopy. I tracked one down several years ago but lost the contact details. Please advise if you have or know of anybody that may have this item for sale. Matt
  14. I use AvPlan and for long trips i print the charts off the screen using a colour laser printer, usually each leg has a paper copy. The app allows all flight plan data to be printed as well.
