I wonder if there's any recognition of courses such as SAAA maintenance course as that was a 2 day course and a exam
-
I know this started as a difference between a c172 or c182 but there seems to be a greater model range with the piper aircraft.
Has any one got anything to say about Piper arrows etc
-
I just spent 3 hours in a 172 o dear are they slow or what, 90 kts av, they are certainly not a performer.

Which one flys better in turbulence a cessna 172 or a 182 ? Which one is the best for 1 to 2 hour flights , no hills or mountain to cross, just flat land, stevron

Are there any LSA s that can be transported on a trailer and easily assembled at site?

Have you got the 610 yet?Can someone point me to a credible reference (not wiki) to define AUW (All Up Weight)? My understanding of AUW refers to the actual weight of an aircraft at a point in time (takeoff, landing, cruise etc) and will weight anywhere between its empty weight and it max structural weight i.e. MTOW or Max Taxi Weight.I need a credible reference of this definition such as the AIS, ICOA or high profile published reference.
Can anyone help?
Cheers

I have a o233 as Brumby said the io233 is not certified and I wanted a certified plane. It's a tried and proven brand with low maintenance record, but it is slightly heavier on fuel than a rotax.
-
Great , I hope it goes well for you
-
Where is that, what engine?
-
No , bugger it , there seems to be a lack of buyers. Any one thinking of buying a new one can save 12 months wait time and buy mine
-
Any new 610 on the register yet. I been waiting for some real reports on the delivery of planes that are on order.
Is there 3 new ones coming , come on guys lets hear from you. How's the ETA going, they must be delivering some by now?
-
Avocet. You might think that but, lycombing engines rust the cam shaft lobes, well that's what happened to a friend of mines 235, so it's important to either reduce moisture or use it more . The later is what I would like to do .

Good idea thanks

Has anyone made or can tell me where to get ( purchase) a dry air pump to use on my lycoming engine to stop condensation build up during winter?
-
Why do we start a discussion on makes , models of aircraft and the experiences we have had with the different makes and models. This might help people in there decision in what to buy and or what may not suit .
I am particularly interested in who or who supports their product the best.
-
Phil from Brumby has told me that my new composite door trims which will incorparate arm rests are on there way, great news as this will make the flying a little more comfortable.

thanks i appreciate itThat's wishfull thinkingShort answer NoLong answer. You would have to change the guts out of one and replace with ,I would say expensive parts .
I've seen single headsets for sale from time to time . There was one bose for sale in port Lincoln a few months Back , if you have access to the saaa web site , try chapter 25 and ask the tech counsil guy , Mike H , he will know if there still available .
Good luck .

-

To all RA devotees, I am more than happy with the current situation, all I was pointing out is, a single engine 152 Cessna looks and in some way handles the same as my 610 lycoming powered brumby highwing but I can't fly the 152 but I lay money on it that I have the skills to fly it , I was not and am not talking about air rules ie controlled air space, just skills to fly planes and that VH reg jab is the same as RA reg jab etc. GA have ppl , cpl for VFR , IFR, these are pilot endorsements and they can fly a 152 but can not fly a RA plane but I bet they can . Thanks very one its been great talking to you all , we have seen some serious development in RA flight and one biggest thing i like about RA devotees have over GA is , RA pilots are a happy contented lot that enjoy more hours flying than a lot of Ga pilots and do it cheaper. Thanks I am moving on to the next topic , clear sky's Steve
