  1. Years ago, a friend hired his Mooney to an RAAF pilot. Taking off from Wagga following a Herc, apparently not waiting for wake turbulence to abate, he rolled at ground level, only saved by the Chrome/moly roll cage provided free to every Mooney occupant.
  2. I flew our club's new Jab 170 yesterday with Dynon panel. Mate next to me said that he thought the ball on the display had a significant delay over the spirit ball in front of him. Is this a widespread observation from members who fly with Dynon? Bit of tread drift, sorry.
  3. This topic was covered in some detail a few years ago. I think from memory Castrol 2T was the winner. Castro specialises in lubricating oils and most had good experience with it. Synthetic oils, people believed, had less persistence in maintaining a residual film between uses. FWIW. Just sayin'.Don
  4. Echo Juliet Juliet shown above could be the one that I mentioned.
  5. There's one based at Wedderburn. Has tip tanks, all that I know about it. Looks good.
  6. Hahaha... AI can't tell a taildragger from a nose dragger. No threat to human existence from that direction!!!
  7. I paqir Maybe useful to someone Located Canberra, PM me, Don
  8. Anyone actually been to China? Should try the bullet trains. 320kmh and on time to the minute If you really don't know then best to find out some facts beforehand.
  9. I had a laugh when America's much vaunted f35 had a hydraulics problem with its gear and, not finding a solution, the fbw simply gave up, deciding it preferred the ground and rushed to meet with it. BOOM it went, BOOM! Wasn't there a thread here about can't climb, can't turn...
  10. Porsche, a division of the badly failing VW Group is suffering very poor sales in China. I can understand Chinese choosing local cars after seeing what they put out from local manufacturers. If they can put a lander on the moon and an orbiting lab in space they can make reliable tyres. Perhaps they think like we do and have no time for us. Wouldn't blame them if they bother to read what Hastie, Buffin Joyce, Albanese or Wrong etc mouth off.
  11. China r may send gen 5-6 jets to allies. West keeps f22 to itsel https://www.rt.com/india/612351-russia-su-57-stealth-jet-india/
  12. IMHO I'm not brainwashed. For an example of brainwashed (ie. Brain-dead) refer to Rutte calling DJT "daddy"! Hahaha.
  13. If Russia abandons Ukraine the ethnic cleansing of Russian speakers will resume. Sorry, this thread is about Chinese supply/exports and my bad for thread drift. I'll desist respectfully from unrelated topics. Don
  14. Our understanding of the 2 European conflicts underway is skewed by the outrageously slanted reporting of our established mass media. There are many alternative sources reachable through the internet. Searching *judge Napolitana, George Galloway, Nima, Paul Craig Roberts* and others brings one into touch with well researched and objective accounts furnished by well connected and independent analysts. The truth is there for them that wish to know.
