  1. I don't think that temperature is related to Density Altitude for this limitation.
  2. I doubt the Jabiru would've crashed because it was 38C but the engine temps might've been high.
  3. My aircraft POH Maximum Ambient Operating Temperature 38°C (100°F) Jabiru.
  4. Instead of a mirror I bring an old CD and you can see through the centre to aim.
  5. In the ERSA under GEN - FIS - In flight - 16.
  6. I thought it would be good anyway for fires on the ground, either taxying or startup. In flight shit hits the fan.
  7. My radar apps don't work anymore on the phone and TV.
  8. Notice mate shirt of the engine guy, a camit shirt.
  9. I've always had issues in Winter but I've worked out a way. Got rid of the Oddesy battery and put in a MOTO battery, cheaper as well. Hold the choke and the throttle so they don't slip in and it starts every time now.
  10. I think you mean the opposite. A lot of CTA is not over tiger country and we are forced to go around through tiger country like Newcastle, Coffs Harbour, various parts of Gold Coast. Blue Mountains we can’t fly high closer to Sydney and can get caught it turbulence so I guess that is tiger country. Going South of Sydney and if Nowra is active we have to go around the long way.
  11. We do have something like that, Victor 1 but I always get nervous for incoming jets since I fly under them with about 500ft seperation. Sometimes I orbit sometimes I assume the wake turbulence hasn't arrived depending where the plane is.
  12. I want the Dingo now. Very tempted but not this week.
  13. Also if it's not certified doesn't mean you can't fly over built up areas?
  14. It's going to be interesting what recommendations ATSB comes up with. I used to have one radio and I could only listen to 1 frequency. Used to be difficult choosing which freq I should listen to inbound to Wedderburn from the west, I would stay on the step and listen to area since they tend to give traffic alerts but not always. Now I changed to the trig and can monitor another frequency. Still a difficult area to transit with inbound aircraft, gliders and local traffic.
  15. I was with 3 other aircraft from Wedderburn coming from the Kiama to Mittagong then we were going to go to The Oaks and back to Wedderburn but I got the guys to go direct to Wedderburn, too rough for having fun. We landed at 12 so felt sort of lucky since we would have arrived about that time with 4 aircraft. We would have been minimum 3000 possible 4500.
