Hi Again Mark my orbital sander is a makita model 04550 got it on ebay few years ago paid $30.00 the scotchbrites l use are the green ones and they are 130x90 the sander is 110 x100 they lock in well l have use it on five aircraft l have built and is still going strong. ps check ebay there are some on there at the moment.

Hi Mark l use a small orbital sander the scotchbrites fit in it good ,then wash it all in prep wash then use wattle super etch primer have had great results.

Hi Pud l use Penrite Hi per two stroke semi-synthetic oil now .l was using penrite greenslim until they stopped making it due to some legal problems . we had over 830hrs on that oil in a 503 with no problems, six of my freinds use the penrite hi per in air and water cooled rotaxes with good results. As far as fuchs oil goes the name says it all we used that brand of oil in the dozers and excavtors and had nothing but trouble.

Got mine today same fomat as RAA . Too many ads ,if l buy an aircraft out of the mags Classified do l get the whole aircraft or whats in the pics. Not the best and who came up with the name.

Hi l agree l got so bits from CPS last month took credit card details got the price of the items and no postage costs they said they dont no postage cost at this time anyway check my account two days later postage was $112.00 when parts came postage was only $78.00 on the parcel l have emailed them twice about the difference in price but no responce. As far as b flood l think l own the company now as well. Wade is still in business as l have just delt with him .

Hi yes l am using 95 octane unleaded fresh fuel ,l will try idling down for longer period see how that goes . THANKS FOR EVERYONES INPUT.

Hi Maj when l say tuned l bought new carbs for it had them balanced it is in a skyfox with standard Exhaust i am using DCPR7E plugs and plus are light grey, have left bowl vents the way it was when l got the aircraft. Engine preforms excellent its just on shut down. cheers Geoff

Hi Nev yes l have the throttle fully closed l have even tryed shuting one ignition off at a time still back fires. cheers Geoff.

Hi all you rotax 912 users could some please put me on the right track, my 912 ul is always back firing when shuting down ,l have tuned carbys, new plugs but still every time l shut the engine off ban off she goes.

Hi l would put in long range tank so you hopefully never get in that situation.

Hi has anybody installed a recovery chute on a XP wire braced Drifter. l have seen some on the king post do you have to beef up the post to take the extra weight. cheers Geoff..

Hi Frank l get an average 12to14 Lhr depends on conditions or one up or two and not thrashing engine cruise about 4600 revs. My 503 has just been rebuilt with 0.20 over size piston & rings new crank and new carbs this engine had done 900 hrs. cheers Geoff.

Skyfox1 Hi Stixy l use premium in my skyfox 912 and all so in my drifter 503 and seem to get better fuel economy you get a better burn from higher octain use less fuel so it dosnt real cost any extra in the end.
