The KFM 112 engine mount is completely different to a jabiru motor the mounts are moulded into the casting

I have the motor apart just chasing some bolts there M7 1.0 x 45 mm had to find here in Oz not going to scrap it getting it running again but won’t use it on this aircraft again.

Hi Nev it had one dowel even that was broken the bolts must of been lose for awhile because they have worked out and threads have been flogged out plus the was no Loctite on them at all I got broken bolts out now having trouble get them there fine thread 8.8 M8 can’t find any ,I relise there no parts for them since 1990 going to scrap this now and put a 582 in it now cheers Geoff

Thank you, I got one from a Harley Davidson that fits and works one problem is all the bolts that hold the starter ring gear are broken in the crank .

Yes it’s the engine before jabiru started I have found that a Harley Davidson 1200 will fit .

Try early LandRover high and low gear stick boots fit perfectly for the 701

Interested also as I have started building one

I removed mine for same reason i sooner run premix less likely to have problems.
