I’m pretty sure I have the oil pressure and oil temperature senders, but what is the sensor just below the silver oil pressure sender?

My guess its oil temperature.

Is it possible you have two or that the other (not pictured) is something else like CHT?😈

The lower oil pressure switch starts the Hobbs Meter on my Rans S6S. The one on the sump would definitely be temperature. I can look for the wiring diagram if you need it.

I think he is talking about this one.

But I'm thinking about a Rotax engine, not a Jabiru.

Thanks Kiwi, that’s exactly the question - I couldn’t edit my photo otherwise I’d have done exactly what you did. A switch for an hour meter is an interesting idea. It’s possible - does anyone know if that is common? Or maybe a low pressure alarm? Could I replace it with another oil pressure sender and use it with the EFIS?

Could be a low oil pressure light sender, only way to be sure would be to trace the wire back to the other end, or unplug it and see what stops working

I have a low oil pressure sensor for cockpit red light, right there.

If it is the hour meter (sounds like it might for the idiot light) and you want to use the port for something else, this is how Rans now run the hour meter. 20260707_182603.thumb.jpg.0ae381d3d4d42930e87d0df6a443034f.jpg
