Toucanfly Posted July 4 Posted July 4 Anyone using some form of sunshade for a Vixxen? Apart from a cap and sunnies. Curious to investigate any options 1
Garfly Posted July 4 Posted July 4 (edited) I'm guessing it's the heat of the overhead sun beating down on the windscreen that's Toucan's main problemo. If so, I got something similar to this small shadecloth at Supercheap Aero which does the job for me. Stretchh-adjustable to fit; attached by 4 suction cups. I used a SCA shade thingy, held in place by suction caps. The caps have reacted with the perspex and I now have 4 round "scar's" on the inside of my canopy. I have a static cling shade, purchased from AutoBarn, will try it this comming summer.😈 1
Garfly Posted July 4 Posted July 4 Yes, that can be a problem with suction caps. Probably best to stick them up only as needed. The static cling ones are also good. 2
Reynard Posted July 4 Posted July 4 I currently use 50% blockout static cling on my ‘roof’ - so far, so good. I would expect a static cling tint shade on the upper part of the windshield would be satisfactory. 1
pmccarthy Posted July 4 Posted July 4 I have the same problem in my Vixxen. Had great visors in my Archer and wish I could get something similar.
facthunter Posted July 5 Posted July 5 How about a reflective blind with Velcro to keep it up there? Nev
