The first prototypes of the Sling 2 were built in 2008. This was a proving/publicity trip the following year. They have done a few other international trips since then ie 3 x Sling High Wings from South Africa to Oshkosh in 2022. The Sling 2 had a MTOW of 600 kg but was flown around the world for 40 days each day loaded with extra fuel to 900 kg. I believe they strenghtened the landing gear but otherwise it was pretty much standard. A factory built Sling 2 has a MTOW of 600 kg but a a owner built has a MTOW of 700 kg.
