rgmwa Posted January 27 Posted January 27 (edited) Nice flying! Not much room for error. I'd find it challenging enough to land here in the RV, let alone an airliner, but they make it look easy. Make it full screen for a pilot's eye view: Edited January 27 by rgmwa 5
onetrack Posted January 27 Posted January 27 (edited) Gee, the co-pilot praying doesn't give you a lot of confidence!! 🫣 A least it's very favourable weather, and they've got a nice long runway. But the lining up is certainly tricky. Edited January 27 by onetrack 1 1
rgmwa Posted January 27 Author Posted January 27 (edited) Yes, I missed that the first time I watched it, but I’d be tempted to add it to the checklist too. The airport is at 7300 feet, just to make it more interesting. Edited January 27 by rgmwa 1 1
skippydiesel Posted January 28 Posted January 28 Awsome!!! Women make excellent pilots - far less likly to try and reinvent the wheel (systems/proceedures)😈
facthunter Posted January 28 Posted January 28 It's NOT very difficult to do a turn Like that. You often have to do a bracketing manoeuvre coming visual with a Non Precision approach. In the case shown you are fully visual all the way down and the conditions are CALM. The so called Co- Pilot seems to be running the SHOW. Maybe she OWNS THE AIRLINE. Nev 1
rgmwa Posted January 28 Author Posted January 28 (edited) Yes Nev, it would be much harder in bad weather or at night and the turns are no steeper than we all do in a normal circuit, but to someone like me who doesn't have your many years of experience flying all kinds of aircraft in all types of conditions and into difficult airfields, it's still pretty impressive. Having said that, I think I could get the RV in there in good weather. Edited January 28 by rgmwa 1 1
BurnieM Posted January 28 Posted January 28 Nah, thats easy. You need to follow Ryans channel - https://www.youtube.com/@MissionaryBushPilot/videos 4 1
Mewp Posted February 15 Posted February 15 I've flown in on air butan and was very impressed. My understanding is there are only a very few commercial airline pilots endorsed to land there. 2
