Maybe some hypoxia setting in? I would imagine you'd normally train to look for skiers etc in the path of your anticipated take off path. And that this guy just didn't see anything until the very last second. 1

facthunter Posted May 1 Posted May 1 The Plane was close to it's service ceiling and relied on the downslope to help it get back in the air It's a rehearsed procedure for that location. Sort of OK IF there's no climbers there at the same time. Nev 2
