That's one incredibly tough old aeroplane. How did he manage to land it successfully, with that massive level of wing damage? And how did he not see that antenna? He obviously had his eyes elsewhere.

I reckon the port wing moved a whole lot more than t'other one

They have 3 spar elements fairly close to the front of the wing section and a separate centre section spar Only the front 1/3rd is al skinned the rest is Fabric covered.  Nev
