A poster on Pprune says it was a 182A with tailwheel modification. Do they do this to them?

 

Definitely on the Register as a 182A

Not a very complimentary description of the Pilots actions in this crash... I won't call it an accident because it wasn't if the press report and the grape vine is any indication.

 

This is more tragic for those poor kids who witnessed this IMO.
