No one injured...new pants likely required for most of the passengers via @GoldboxATL on Twitter

facthunter Posted August 21, 2015 Posted August 21, 2015 Lucky it's not a dreamliner. Lightning strikes are not that rare though I haven't seem one on the ground.. Nev

I have never been in an aircraft which has been struck by lightning, but I was on top of a chimney that was hit. We were surrounded by a greenish glow for a second or so and no damage, but the winch driver on the ground was knocked over when the force travelled down the winch rope. Nothing a couple of beers couldn't fix.
