And the biggest problem for us all... Our Ra-Aus was supposed to be overseeing it all...
-
My guess for what comes next? GA's new RPL Instructor rating which apparently is useless because it can't be used in a non AOC school is just a start...
-
WE are Ra-Aus...reckon you are right win...RAA will/must lift the bar as far as overseeing the operations......just hope they dont pick the 'easy' targets and ignore the elephants.-

Personally I find the report more potentially damaging to the system that is supposed to be overseeing our flying operations.. Some may lament the fact but self regulation is here to stay in aviation in Australia... these sort of things events don't just happen in Ra-AUS... All a regulator can do is set a standard... what we do with it is up to us...

As has been speculated.Interesting...the facts regarding the FTC were incorrect or at least very misleading. -
I believe you are in the US Justin... fairly rare bird over there compared to Oz.
Was this aircraft Aussie built?
-
In my opinion this is going to be a BIG issue for Ra-Aus and its existence... if the facts as stated just so far are correct... then with very, very good reason.
-
So... Who else its flying unlicensed?
This could (and with good reason) have major consequences... who else has been defrauded into paying for dodgy flight training and how wide spread is the practise...?

That is a pretty damning report for Ra-Aus.

Is it a prototype? I can't recall seeing an enclosed trike in production anywhere.

What a fascinating aircraft.
I have flown a Radio Controlled foam wing with electric motor... I have always thought a BIG version would make a great flying machine... the RC versions it seemed to me actually had a fairly wide speed range for something so simple...

This was taken in Cloncurry in the late 80's... This was the first time I saw a Thruster up close...

I spent an hour in this beast last year... Loved it!!!

I like the Yike!
Bit expensive still...

I did my first solo in a Texan. They are a special machine. Nice video.

I've always thought that if someone could use an old one for airshows (yes perhaps mild aeros?!) It would impress me... and plenty of space for advertising on the fuselage.
-
When the airflow separates from the wing?

I wonder what sort of flying hours the oldest ones are accruing today? The small number of Lightwings I have seen in the flesh are certainly testamen to the fact that they are one tough and well engineered airplane which will outlast all the modern 2 seat Ra machines I have flown.
-
Why did the GA have a different wing Maj? Was it faster?

I don't believe they have been manufactured for the last 15 years or so Iggy... Would be real happy to learn otherwise.

Now this Vampire... I REALLY REALLY LIKE!!!
