  1. That should fill a huge hole in the market. Many people aren't enamoured with the apple style. Interested to see how mit travels...
  2. Get CASA to pay what they should as co-funding. GA doesn't seem to have this problem. Doom and gloom don't solve anything John, neither does upping the fees. Get the regulatory body to pay their fair share. Stop being negative and inject a little positive comment into this for goodness sake. Doom and gloom become self fulfilling. (my head IS GOING TO DROP OFF... WHOA IS ME...THEN...VOILA...OFF FALLS HIS HEAD.) Of course then the doctor..coffee..tea..is to blame...
  3. I always fly hemispherically anyway, didn't realise it was an ifr thing...
  4. Since when is 6000ft an IFR limited area. Cant we go to 10,000 nowadays as VFR?
  5. Its like the buddhist hamburger - one with everything
  6. 19 registered, legally you built it, you take responsibility for it, you do what you like., but remember, if it stuffs up, its your responsibility, no one elses.
  7. Tony Lamarra is in Italy for another few weeks. Very approachable. Owns a lot of hangerage at Goulburn. I rent off him, no problems.
  8. nope
  9. already had one engine out in my 582 through my own fault. Doesn't seem to happen as often as j.... though.
  10. my 582 is running fine...just sayin.
  11. Yep, the grace spitfire. (she is a local southern tablelands girl from way back.) Beautiful aircraft.
  12. Stuff it, if RAA falls over and CASA don't pick up the Tab then they had better get a lot of cops in the air because I suspect the unregistered aircraft count will go through the roof....just sayin"
  13. "we're the government, we're here to help you...?!!!
  14. So you would penalise those that may become flyers to support us. I thought the idea of RECREATIONAL was to have fun for all, not have others pay for our pleasure. Read the post. Disagree.
  15. You have to be kidding, that's how you kill an organisation such as RAA stone dead. After all we pay rego fees, certificate (membership ) fees, and we also pay to camp under wing albeit that payment goes to the local council.
  16. So.......NZers mate with model aircraft, bit of wooly thinking there. Mmmmmm...glow plugs to keep them warm....
  17. What is MAAAA?
  18. Unfortunately negative posts, and attitudes tend to become self fulfilling. The more that bitch about NATFLY, the less that go, then the more bitch about poor attendance, less go etc. If that's what you want, go for it. I for one, enjoy the company of fellow flyers, whether thewy fly fast or slow. I love flying of any type. Nay sayers are starting to give me the s..ts. The sparse positive input is refreshing. If you don't like ewho we are, what we do, how fast you go, where you can go, then change it, don't winge about it. Get off your ar..s and positively do something about it instead off trying to pull everyone down!!! Flame me, I don't care.
  19. I would, and have every other year but got married yesterday so I have an excuse this year.
  20. I prefer, after being through the "I am worried phase" and out the other side, to just go and fly. Pay my rego and do it. My 19 reg aircraft is fine, flyable and serviced regularly. Doomsayers and end of days forcasters go away, I fly rag and tube, I servicer it. I am not looking for GA priviliges. Geez people, If you don't like it go and fly GA etc.
  21. hey, instead of bitching about it, how about some one who is actually there give us an update.
  22. doesn't seem to give much more that the ersa. Good trial but no sale to me. I think Oz Runways is great but needs more than 280 airports for it to be useful to me.
  23. but remember, Inverell and Warialda are not part of the NSW triangle (Newcastle/Sydney/Wollongong)
  24. Nope, not going, would have gone but getting married (bride to be may not see the funny side of delaying the wedding so I can go again.)
  25. Pearce had power and basic ailerons. I believe part of the aircraft are in a NZ museum, (possibly next to the installation installer, chinese gooseberry and tree tomato...) ;)
