Some Lawnmower and Vee Industrial Motors come close to being  suitable but from the "gound Up" using some available Parts is a good solution.. BTW, Blackburn also Made Motorcycle engine's  and the 150 HP Cirrus Motor for the  4 seat Auster  Autocar. Nev

I see the Yanks are using V twin industrial engines for ultralight applications

They look close to being the real  deal but you'd have to see if there's any SUSS parts like Plastic cam drive gears or cast cranks..  Running the Motor inverted would be best and I don't know how many would adapt to that.  II DO like the Motor in the  Spirit. Simple and strong. Low revving.  Nev
