Student Pilot Posted July 7 Posted July 7 A Briggs and Stratton mower engine would have more power 😁 2
facthunter Posted July 7 Posted July 7 (edited) Some Lawnmower and Vee Industrial Motors come close to being suitable but from the "gound Up" using some available Parts is a good solution.. BTW, Blackburn also Made Motorcycle engine's and the 150 HP Cirrus Motor for the 4 seat Auster Autocar. Nev Edited July 7 by facthunter 1
Student Pilot Posted July 7 Posted July 7 (edited) I see the Yanks are using V twin industrial engines for ultralight applications Edited July 7 by Student Pilot 2 1
facthunter Posted July 8 Posted July 8 They look close to being the real deal but you'd have to see if there's any SUSS parts like Plastic cam drive gears or cast cranks.. Running the Motor inverted would be best and I don't know how many would adapt to that. II DO like the Motor in the Spirit. Simple and strong. Low revving. Nev 2
