Doing high speeds and large bank angles gives stronger inputs to your 'seat of the pants' feel which makes it harder to fly in IFR as they have to be ignored and just trust the instruments to avoid loss of control. If you are relying on the reduced vis it's like driving in fog where you slow down normally don't you.   Without a visual horizon as reference you run a big risk of losing control  unless you are on instruments and then You can't be looking outside for trees and hills at the same time. This is where you need ATC's assistance.  Nev
