Apparently originally designed in SA for aircraft but seemingly getting put in cars and bikes. I have a call tonight asking me about them and I had to go and look it up. Very interesting

 

35k for a engine

75kg weight  up to many hundreds of HP  but around 100 to 150hp for aircraft

The engine is heavy and expensive. No proven gearbox available. Firewall forward with liquid cooling system, unproven gearbox, exhaust,  alternator and engine management system it would weigh as much as a 180hp lycoming.  A rotax 915 would be much lighter and cheaper. Confidence in a proven engine package, priceless for pilots that like flying.

I'm inclined to agree. It would be great for a semi replica Bleriot though, which I've always fantasised about building 🙂
