This topic was inspired by the video I saw on Facebook and have loaded here in another thread about the Airbus/KLM Flying V, and by a link I came across while researching the military heavy lifters for the Aircraft section. Here are some projects which have not (as yet anyway) got past the research stage.

 

The first is the Tupolev TU-404.

 

 

 

Sukhoi KR-860 - Russia's answer to the A380

 

 

Aerocon Dash 1.6 Wingship, an American proposed ground effect vehicle capable of carrying 5,000 t.
