It appears to be blatantly obvious that there's a beginner at the controls of that Eurocopter!

Yeah, I wondered too, never saw anyone flying a helicopter so irregular. The man on the left with the white sunglasses is the beginner.

The pilot in command in a heli sits on the right generally ;)

The guy in the right seat is flying - at one point you can see his hand on the cyclic, and the guy in the left seat is waving his hand around. I think AP meant left as in 'reading from left to right'.
