  1. I believe we originated from Mars. Mars was once like Earth is today and something went wrong and we had to find a new planet.Another theory of mine is that we a one huge experiment and were put on Earth to see if we could cope. We are either still being watched or have been abandoned.

You have been watching too many Science Fiction movies Glann lol

    Hey Matt,

Was the trip to Area 51 worth while I have wanted to go out there for a while now.

Yes it was, not much there though. Its really just a thing you as a stop over for half an hour on your way to somewhere. Its good, call into the servo's and everyone will tell you their story, everone there has seen a UFO of some sort.

  2. Come on folks. Lets get back on Topic. Can a Pilot get more than 4 bars or is it when he gets the 4 Bars he can get no more?

Yeah, what happens when they reach check captain? I'm probrably wrong but do some airlines change the colour? And some put the circle on the end of the last bar of the eppulate?

  3. By the way sorry for the poor quality of photograph, I actually scaled the quality down to make uploading to imageshack quicker and so they loaded quicker on the forum here. The photos were taken with mums new camera, it is a Cannon EOS 400D i think it is, i dont know if thats a good camera or not it would seem like nothing to a good spotter like chainy im sure

  4. Hey Guys,

As you are all aware I recently returned from a holiday in Phuket and which I had to go through Suvarnabhumi Airport in transit.

Let me tell you the airport is massive. To give you an indication of the size, the passengers on my arriving flight who were continuing onto London (QF302/BA10) would have to walk 25 mins to the lounge and 25 mins back to the aircraft if they had of wished to get off the aircraft. This was in the not much longer than an hour they had until they taxied back out.

More signage is needed, when getting off the plane and going to collect baggage and go through customs the only way to get there is to 'follow the crowd'. They still have a few problems with baggage, very slow to get.

Novotel Suvarnabhumi Airport is great, however once again signage is bare and very hard to get to the hotel. The underground walkway is not yet constructed and you have to get on a minibus to get to the hotel.

Check-in was good and fast. Lots and lots of checkin counters and with Thai all domestic flights you check in at the one desk hence you can check in at any of of all the Thai domestic check in counters.

They seem to have removed the problem of the majority of flights having leave from remote stands and passengers having to be ferried by bus to the aircraft. Both my International flights left and arrived at aerobridges. But on both domestic flights, despite many aerobridges being free departed and arrived at a remote stand - which is disappointing. Although it doesn?t entirely bother me because it makes me actually realize and truly appreciate the true size of the aircraft and it amazes me more how it flies.

Design of the airport - what can I say? Absolutely phenomenal. Truly an engineering marvel.

Overall, a great airport and I look forward to visiting in the future. Im sure ive left stuff out so please don?t hesitate to ask me questions.

  5. Daddo actually recorded me in depth talking about this - but they never showed it lol.

I am a Holden man, and the funny irony about it is that i am also a Boeing man. It was very funny how FORD was AIRBUS and HOLDEN was BOEING among us at the Spotting Shoot.

  6. Ok Guys...

As most of you know this week i will be visiting Bangkok's new Suvarnabhumi International Airport. I will be there on Tuesday of this week (3rd), Wednesday of this week (4th) and Saturday of next week (14th).

As an 'aviation enthusiest' as i described myself on the great outdoors, as well as all of you i am very excited to be visiting Suvarnabhumi Airport.

I promise you i will come back with lots of photos and ill hopefully even post a video of the airport on the forum.

However, if you have any things you would like to see, please donot hesitate to ask me. I will be more than happy to take a photograph or video footage of certain things or pick up phamphets and info sheets and what not.

  10. It seems Airbus really screwed up with the A380...(If anyone can remember) Did Boeing have this much truble with the 747 when they frist introduced it?

I cant really answer that im only 15, but from what i have read i really dont think so - although chainy and 60's might be the best ones for this question
