I was pax in a R22 cattle mustering. Surprisingly it had a Lap Sash. Not very reassuring. couple mil perspex to hold between thumb and forefinger for added comfort. Forces kept you in the seat though.

I use 9v batteries commercially. I dont buy Eveready or duracell any more, too dear. I prefer Woolies and Coles own alkalines also AA and AAA. Aldi comes in 3rd.

A tragedy upon a tragedy. Alf said it beautifully above. RIP brave Aviators.
I wonder seeing the DC10 fly through the smoke and debris the effect on the engines and the prop turbines of the like of the C130.
if they were to build an aircraft for this purpose from the ground up what would be it’s configuration and power plants.

Heard 5 aircraft fly over this afternoon in formation including some Bi-Planes and remembered there is a gathering of de Havilland aircraft at YCAB tomorrow. Copy of email sent earlier this month.

It is ironic that the steel salvaged from the wreck of R101 may have been used to build the Hindenburg.

Aerochute have been working on an Electric model for a while, 30 min flight time.Give me an electric setup for my Drifter, that can give me the same performance as my current Rotax 503 DCDI, at a cost roughly equivalent to the 503 and keep me in the air for a minimum of 1 hour and I will fit it at the next engine change... At the moment, it looks like my next engine may have to be a Hirth,3202 2 cycle 55hp
or the, 3203 2 cycle 65hp both engines are free to air or fan cooled!
Franco.

The fatal chopper crash that changed Australian aviation historyWWW.ABC.NET.AU
The accident was witnessed by many and widely reported, creating intense pressure for something to be done to improve safety in the skies.
"After the crash, aviation safety authorities changed the laws so that single-engine aircraft and helicopters were no longer allowed to fly over built-up areas, but had to follow waterways and coastlines.
That rule still applies today."

Hi Frank, that was a fair hike from your place, follow the Palmerston Hwy. Used to swim in Lake Eacham in the 70's. Used to be a Cassowary there that liked apples.
