Hi mate, I couldn't make it to Gayndah but a mate flew the Courier out to get some aerial photos for the Sport Pilot Mag (now I just need to get my keys back off him). I'm glad to hear there was a good turn up.BJ, How about a secret salute, didn't see you but didn't look at Murgon but you were behind in the fuel queue at Gayndah we were in front in the Drifter, some say I need a hair cut lolThat is a nice Cub-

That's a real mixed squadron you have, hardest part would be choosing which one to fly today! My current replica Nieuport 11.C.1, My current Replica Chinook, my current Original Winton Jackaroo. My old lightwing (just sold). And Patricks Fisher/Drifter with Nieuport couple days ago..My baby at Maryborough. The builder of my Rans Courier has now finished his latest creation, a fantastic Carbon Cub. Here's a pic.

That's the one, I was at Angelfield a month or two back. The builder who I bought her from has recently completed a Carbon Cub. He sure did a good job. I hope to get to the next Murgon fly-in, come over and say hi!Pretty sure that Rans S-7S is the same one I was drooling over at Angelfield 1 or 2 flyins ago, couldn't take my eyes off the welded joints, one nice bit of work and a lovely aircraft, maybe it will return on 11th June for our winter flyin Breakfast, best breakfast in Qld. -

Nice mate, Certainly looks like she'd be a little pocket rocket, don't know much about them but I'll be looking them up on the Internet. Happy flying It can't land on a beach, it takes a bit of runway to get off, it doesn't climb like a homesick angel, it's not the fastest but it was huge fun to build and it is unbelieveably good FUN to fly, and it does have a little wheel at the back............ -

Hi Mark, where are the pics Brett?Tried to load a few when I got home late this afternoon, unfortunately a error"file to big" kept occurring. Will have a play with it over the next couple of days.
Smack on 10hrs of flying there and back. Interesting place to visit, and everything is easy for those who fly-in. Visited the Chamber of the Black hand yesterday and did a tour before departing today. Good feed at the bowling club.

Hi All,
Having never visited Lightning Ridge, and with a good forecast for the next few days it was into the Courier for an early morning departure from Childers. Topped up the tanks at Kingaroy, stopped at Moree for fuel and a brew, pointed the nose West and arrived at Lightning Ridge shortly after lunch.
Staying at the Wallangulla Motel, staff very helpful, picked me up at the airfield and have arranged a couple of tours. Certainly a sight to behold when approaching the ridge, the landscape is like a giant ants nest. Overall a good fly-away destination. I'll add some pics tmw.

Fantastic trip, great photo's. Your biggest challenge now will be "what's next".I've just spent the last 5 days covering some 1,980 nautical miles of spectacular outback desert, and a rather wet Lake Eyre. Special mention goes to Trevor at William Creek, and his dedicated staff and pilots, for their generous hospitality, and their tip on going to see the nearby "Painted Hills". It's been a memorable adventure, indeed. -

Hi All,
Another little test for the Courier yesterday. Dropped into Marks property West of Childers. Lovely spot, with a strip made for the likes of Marks Savanah, also perfectly suited to the Courier. Didn't realise dried cow patties could be so bumpy! Great way to end the day, the little Courier is still putting a smile on my face.

Hi All,
Well I'm starting to put the Courier to the test. One of our club members mentioned that his mate who flys an Airbike drops into the paddock adjacent to his farmhouse.
I felt up for a challenge so into the Courier for a look. Short and bumpy, with powerlines at one end, a cross slope that was a little concerning at first, and it was one way in & out affair. Having said all that the Courier did it with ease. I can see why these little aircraft have a cult following. My smile was as big as the property owner in the bottom picture.

I was looking for your aircraft. Oh well, you'll just have to go flying tomorrow!Bugga I decided to have a do nothing day. I knew I should have come. -
Hi mate,Danny Leach and myself also flew to Murgon. Was a nice trip out a bit lumpy on the way back to the coast. Meant to catch up Brett but got sidetracked by a few people. Your engine is very quiet although it didnt sound like full power on takeoff. I watched you head out. Beautiful aircraft you have there I had a look at it on my way past after I parked...what a fantastic build job. One of the pics shows the new hangar at Murgon...what a great concept using the 40ft containers for the sides It didn't click that you had arrived, even though I was out taking photo's of arriving aircraft. I just checked my photo's, I have a few nice shots of a red Savannah in the hold off & touch down, but I think it might be your mates aircraft. PM me your email if you would like copies.
Great day, certainly beats mowing the lawn!
