Thanks Mark ,here is the plane finished painting and wings on spats brakes engine electrics battery in brake lines in rudder elavator trim system all in ,all bolts locked and pin marked as a final inspection hatch in and wired final decals /airbrush work later still waiting for prop from the states interior trim is being worked on cheers gareth
  2. Thanks John when we fitted the wings ,we never liked the finish with a rubber to the fuse ,we used foam to form up the flare and sanded back to the shape then fibreglassed over ,a lot of work but the result was a good line to the fuse cheers gareth

  7. back again we have made the top of the cowl alum for easy removal, bottom of cowl was Garrys fibreglass cowl but we had to cut and shut it to fit sides of fusalage at firewall is removable both sides this gives us complete access to brakes ,fuel pumps steering mechanics, tank fittings next week start preparing for painting , avionics are being wired and the upholsterer will be starting cabin fitout Cheers gareth& Craig

Hi Nev let me say ,i am a very good welder ,but as my eyes are now getting weaker from over 45 years welding i would get a younger person yo do it, if you can get it welded (if you are not up spec) get a good welding shop to do it ,there is is not a lot of welding on most planes but it does need to be welded correctly eg the right consumables, temps ,material or as Scotty says ,go do the welding course it will be of great benifit Cheers (From a retired boilermaker/welder) Gareth

Hi John, you are having a lot of fun flying around , and you have your wife as pax, its good to see that you are enjoying your aircraft and are getting about , have started flying a Jab 160 around myself ,gotta keep practicing for when the Morgan is ready will be in adelaide in May will be there for a week and a weekend i will give you a call and maybe catch cheers gareth
  23. Hi John, our fuse was for a 3300, but we are a wider fuse (1200 inside cockpit) this in turn made our firewall 75mm longer (2x100kilo pax) as for w&b our UL is 76 kilo same as the Jab 3300 so no problems there and lots of GRUNT cheers gareth
  24. thanks Keith/Limpee , we have put a return fitting into tank(poly) before fitting so should be ok and we hope it goes like a rockeet with the GT performance prop cheers gareth
  25. Hi all here vis the UL 130 engine just arrived and the engine weight 70 kilos ,no oils or fixtures ,all parts in box 5 klilos
