  1. This was the first one which Jack crashed and the replacement was the one in the museum. The connection between the wings was different on both.
  2. when dad and Jack brought the first one it was a fibreglass body and it had a fibreglass tank which dad changed as it was close to the exhaust. The one in the museum is ply sheet and timber frame. The butcher in Bundarra brought one as well for memory. I live in NZ now and I found one in a shed in the Sth island that a guy wouldn’t sell. I try and find some photos of the first one and the museum one. Gday Mark if you’re still after some information on this aircraft I can help you. My father and Jack Brabham owned it, the first one Jack had crashed in the paddock after the wings flapped and he and Jack brought this one. When Gordon owned it the colour was yellow and green. It was sold to the QLD museum around 91/92 for memory. The brace that holds the wing struts together dad came up with that idea as the mounts inside the fuselage was breaking away.
