  1. I think most microlight aircraft have just a single switch and many with separate mag switches. The Savannah is like that. I'm just fitting a push button as the switch, choke and throttle control are somewhat bunched up together making it a little awkward ti crank.
  2. The reason for the push button is that the Ignition Switch and Choke are installed very close together and a bit of a pain to turn when cranking. Plus as one respondent stated the the switches are expensive and I must admit the push button I purchased is quite impressive for the price. It will operate in parallel to the Ignition/Master switch.
  3. Thanks for your response. I am an RF Engineer, so well acquainted with the fundamentals of electricity, maybe I should have originally stated this, however my dilemma was if the solenoid required sinking or sourcing to operate. Someone locally said sinking but the diagram indicates otherwise and I now conclude from the comments that is what it requires. What I am doing is fitting a push button to start the Rotax instead of the ignition switch. Thanks for your responces. 🙂
  4. Hi All, On a Savannah S using a Rotax 912ULS, is the red wire indicated by the Yellow circle one that needs 12V to energize the solenoid, or a to be pulled to ground via the Start command when cranking the engine? Looking at the wiring diagram it looks like it switches 12 Volts. Many thanks, Steve
  5. Awesome and thanks for that. It does look like I need to loose the brackets at the bottom of the nose gear to get the bungy behind.
  6. Thanks very much. If you have images that would be appreciated. Approaching the 1000 hours mark so trying to tick off some boxes along the way.
  7. Hi Everyone, I am looking for tips on how best to replace the bungy for the nose wheel. If anyone can point me in the best direction, I would be most appreciative. Cheers, Steve
  8. Hi Everyone,

I am looking for an electrical wiring diagram for my Savannah XL VG. I have a voltage drop which I am trying to trace.

If anyone has a copy can you please let me know?

    Many thanks,

    Steve

  9. My Sav is very stable and flies true. Can't seem to stall it and love the big baggage compartment. I didn't like centre stick at first but found it great for getting in and out plus space while flying. I had dual yokes in the Foxbat. I also love the long nose and it just looks like an aeroplane. My Foxbat started to corrode after 12 months. It was the most looked after plane in the club so was loved.
  10. I have own a Foxbat and now have a Sav XL. Took a little getting used to but for the Sav is by far a better flying machine.
