Republic Seabee emergency landing on road. What's going on, are there no runways in the US anymore?

Phoenix AZ. 3 onboard, unharmed. There has been a huge increase in emergency landings on roads lately. I read recently that the FAA are getting twitchy about it. One I saw a little while ago (did I post here?) landed on a road and hit a car, very luckily not killing the driver. There was a swamp next to the road. Land there, don't risk other people's lives.

Easy to be tempted but Look Harder. You don't want to Be the CAUSE of other Peoples deaths.  A Seabee doesn't land that fast and done right it's Minus the Wind. It's also Built like the Sydney Harbour Bridge. Nev
