facthunter Posted March 24 Posted March 24 The NAME Sperry appears on a lot of early Nav equipment. Gyros have a Property called "Rigitidity in Space" but they Do Precess and have to be slaved to a steadying reference or reset manually. A rate turn Indicator Must Have a gyro. Electronic ones measure how much an electron beam is deflected. Early stuff was Vacuum powered from an external Venturi later superseded by and EDVP. (Engine driven). Nev 2 1
