I received an email from our real estate agent in Geraldton stating that we must employ the services of an electrician. I have just asked for the Gyprock ceiling to be replaced in a two bedroom duplex. We have to have an electrician to disconnect the three wires from the ceiling light. A very complex job for any half witted tradesman. We simply don't have well trained people in the workforce any more. Perhaps Foreflight recognised the true value of some of these employees a realised they'd be better off without them. 1

The wiring issue is because the Gyprock business owner would be kicked in the nuts by his insurance provider so you end up paying for a second tradesman to come out (travel time included) to perform a small second job. His insurance company does not care and the state government says he is being safe so... ... your problem. The only people who currently know the value of the Foreflight software engineers are the managers of the software teams and they are eiher gone or will be soon. The 'business management team' will find out in 12-18 months when they have to sell the whole business off at 5c on the dollar. Dumb and dumber and it will happen again. Edited January 17 by BurnieM
walrus Posted January 20 Posted January 20 Predictable behaviour by the "private equity" hyenas. My advice, having been on both sides of this type of activity, is to leave immediately if at all possible, but definitely leave. The reason is that the Hyenas already decided their own exit strategy BEFORE the bought you. Let that sink in. They do not intend to keep you and nurture you, they intend to make you as attractive as a movie star and onsell you for a sum that is many multiples of what they paid for it. Their potential to make such generational changing money is such that they will lie through their teeth continuously. 1 1
