Siso Posted January 3 Posted January 3 Hi Everyone. Just wandering what tyre pressures everyone runs in their 2 seat Thrusters? What sort of tyres do you run? (tail dragger)
Thruster88 Posted January 3 Posted January 3 I run used, because they are free and lighter than new, 6.00x6 aircraft tyres. Goodyear flight custom etc because I dislike getting punctures. These are fitted to 6 inch kart wheels. Pressure only needs to be about 8-10 psi. Tyre creep on the wheels is a problem solved by two small self tapping screws each side into the bead.
skippydiesel Posted January 3 Posted January 3 I used road rated (to 120kph) small (similar to a wheelbarrow) trailer tyres (& tubes to suit) on my ATEC Zephyr. From memory, they were 6 or 8 ply, road tread and I inflated to 25 psi. Fraction of aircraft tyre price, did the job without any issues.😈
