This new feature is available to try out now: Settings >> Preferences >> Use new plan sheet (EXPERIMENTAL)

 

To me one of the big advantages will be the ability to rearrange the columns of data (TAS TRK WIND HDG etc.) such that even when squeezed for screen space you'll be able to have the most useful numbers always in sight.
