TruTrak LCD ( display ) replacement Digiflight autopilot

For anyone interested, I have found a new perfect replacement for the display for this autopilot .

Backlight function is OK . Display contrast is good and is a transreflective display so it  can work in full sun.

Fits just fine, just reverse the standoffs  (order = SCREW > washer > plastic standoff > PCB ) and put the display against the panel. 

chop/ disconnect pin 1 on the connection (backlight aux ctl)

Display is a NMTG-S12232CFYHSGY-10  by Microtips, AVBL from Mouser.

You'll need either magnification or a microscope to change the LCD over since the flex cable is 1.27mm and quite tight on spacing.

Thank you for that update, I'm going to replace mine shortly.  Have you found any better matches?  You wouldn't happen to have the original part number?  Mine was RPM12232Z, but there is no such animal!

jhs_61 - There is a New Haven Display LCD module that uses a part number of NHD-12232AZ, which sound suspiciously like a close version of your RPM12232Z.

 

The leading letters in the part numbers appear to represent the manufacturers name, and the actual LCD screen is likely to be a generic model, with the individual companies producing their version of the module.

 

The linked webpage below is extremely informative with regards to the module design and electrical layout, and the webpage also include live links to numerous other very useful sites, such as "Product Usage Guidelines" for LCD screens.

The part number appears to be the only similarity.  The screen in the Digiflight II is much smaller...
