We arrived at SYD very early at 0620 for our 0840 departure . On arrival we used the self service check in machines , printed out our boarding cards and sat around for a while , at least this gave me a bit of "spotting time " , G-LAOR a private Hawker 800 Exec jet was the star .. We board our Jetstar A320 VH-VQT at Gate 53 and right on time at 0840 we pushed back , very impressive .. Out take off on RW 34R was very sprightly and the right turn after take off is always a highlight . We had great views of the airport and the Sydney CDB as we climbed to the NE . It was very clear , and passing abeam Terrigal on the Central Coast , it was still possible to see back as far as the airport in the distance . We held off for a little while to allow clearance between us and a Aeropelican J32 which passed about 2000' above us . Our track took us overhead Williamtown , no FA18's were seen although the airfield was clearly visible below , and continued almost coastal till we commenced descent abeam the Gold Coast . We tracked overhead JCW VOR ( Jacobs Well ) and Stradbroke Island where the first cloud on the whole flight was seen . We landed at 0910 local time at MCY , to a warm NE breeze and a temp of 24 degs . Thanks to the cabin staff , Deborah , Bianca and Vinnie the flight was very enjoyable .. Here are a few photos on departure ..
