Superhornets for Australia

I saw in the newspaper yesterday that Australia will purchase 24 f/a-18f superhornets. Anyone know if theres any truth to that?

They were always going to buy the super hornet, It was just a "official buy" The government has known that there would be a delay on the JSF and the yanks not allowing us to buy the F/A22

Our Gov't has yet again signed onto dud contract and spent our money on aircraft we shouldn't buy.

 

Quite frankly I think we are better off approaching the Russians re their proposed new stealth fighter
