World's largest radio controlled English Electric Lightning. Flown by Dave Johnson. Powered by 2 JetsMunt Merlin engines. This model was designed and built by Ted Allison. It took him 4 years to build. It has wingspan of 13 ft 8in (i.e. 4.17 metres). It's weight is 88 lbs.

A beautiful model spoilt only be the silver radome,(radar nose cone) they were all green, and the lack of a pitot tube. I used to be able to get into the air intake without taking the radar 'bullet' out. AI23/B was an amazing radar for it's day. Probably the last to use miniature glass valves and an analogue computer.
