Airservices want to know where you think they should locate weather cameras:

Umm. There are heaps already. Canberra airport has one. Many clubs have their own.

Many of which have no public listing or are broken down regularly

How about places without existing services? Theres big sections of NSW and beyond without weather info at all or even effective weather radar

 

Yes they seem to fail a lot, hoping ASA get good ones they can maintain

Cameras at high points on transit lanes worth extra consideration in survey, as an example MtWilliam north of Melbourne, 'seeing' the actual cloud base and wind in real time would be a great advantage along high use lanes.

Time for a review of CAR120. It will be interesting to see if Air Services actually take the donation. I am "all for the idea". I think bureaucracy will get in the way.
