Sadly, so many pilots paid the ultimate price flying those primitive machines back then, with such limited training. My Grandfather used to fly the Sopwith Camel, which he claimed was always rather nose-heavy. Somewhere, I still have his kharky coloured Royal Flying Corps hat with it's cast brass badge. 2
