2 Cyl Jabiru.

 

Michel, I think this is the motor that didn't work. The reason was excessive vibration and if you examine the configuration of the engine you will see that the alignment of the cylinders when viewed from the top, shows a large offset of the centrelines of the cylinders axis. This produces a big unbalanced rocking couple as a result. With the main bearing set-up in Jabiru motors this is inevitable. Because of the policy of having one bearing between each cylinder the offset is more than most other "flat" engines. Regards Nev

There was only one made as far as I Know. Saw it on the bench at Jabiru. It was sold to someone.
