Ha Ha! We now have one saying my "fagend of a conversation" is UNTRUE, the other saying TRUE  and BOTH sighting RAA - Please don't come to blows🤣

    😈

The previous comment is correct that currently one BFR covers multiple groups, but also that the OPS manual is being revieved and sitting with CASA currently,   and that one of the changes involve doing a BFR for each category you hold, this was confirmed by the head of flight operations a few weeks back with a meeting I had with him

I think it will be true because raa are under pressure from casa to lift their game after all the drama a while back.

    It actually makes some sense.

If you have taildragger endorsement but buy a nose wheel and do all your flying in that then how can raa be sure that you can handle a taildragger if you haven't been flying one for the last 2 years .

You will have to decide what endorsement you want to keep it do the bfr for both .

I you look at RAAP 1 it talks about type training which is not technically a BFR, it is training you might need if you go from a thruster to say for instance to a bristell or high-performance aircraft

Ok. I just got off the phone to raaus.

That's how easy it is to get the facts.

What I thought was wrong. All endorsements on your certificate  remain valid with a single bfr.

2 axis and 3 axis alternate as stated by blue.

Yes that is correct ,under the current Ops Manual where one BFR covers multiple groups, but under the new version 8 unfortunately it is changing where each category that you hold will need a separate BFR completed this is currently getting reviewed by CASA

    More details please.

    Photos would be great.

What traffic system are you running?😈

I bought a standard Bluetooth transmitter with an av input, i then ran a av cable with one end where i cut the plug off and soldered the two wires into the microair radio plug as it gives you audio in just check the connection diagram, and the other end plugged into the receiver. I pair my I pad with the transmitter after which avtraffic will make announcements over your headsets, the radio will also mute when you receive a radio transmission.

Unfortunately you can only connect one devise at a time thru the bluetooth.

I also subscribed to avtraffic , but you need to open ozrunways thru avtraffic in order to hear the announcements
