Can anyone tell me what price I should put on my Mitchell U2? It is complete, but sufferred slight damage during taxi testing. The engine was moved forward to improve the C of G, and new needs re-wiring. Also, welding repairs on the cockpit cage meant that the control linkages need adjustment. I spent $8,000 on materials (2x17L fuel tanks, KFM Engine, Vario, etc) plus 3 years part time work. My Superanuation has just run out, so the aircraft is available for urgent sale! I have a U-2 in my garage at Granville. It is for sale, although I do not yet know what would be a fair price. See Just Landed thread for more details, or contact me at [email protected] or (02) 9682 3750 if you wish to know more. My version was built as a motor glider (KFM 22 HP).
