There are now several Cub 'clones' online with RAAus flying schools in Australia:

the Cubcrafters Cub, see www.cubcrafters.com

Has anyone flown one of them, and if so, would you care to comment on their performance aspects?

happy days,

Havn't seen the Cub blones but we had a C150 call at Rodds Bay a week ago. The second seat and control cplumn are removed. Makes a much more spacious cockpit, but would be good for carrying the camping gear.

That Carbon Cub would have to be one of the best looking planes around IMHO.

Yes I have flown a cub crafters sport cub. They are fantastic, lots of room and very well built. There are two online at aldinga, They use them for tailwheel instruction, there very popular with the students and instructors.

I started my tail-wheel conversion at Aldinga and found them to be fantastic as well. Although I only had 3 hours up in them when my financial crisis hit, I would definitely go back to them if I could. Should you decide to buy one, get the balloon tyres as well, they make landings so soft.

Looks very much like a Skyfox with VG's. Is that a valid comparison or are there big differences under the skin?
