Commercial airliner holding

Hi all,

 

Heading out for some flying this morning when I saw something I haven't seen before. I took a pic then as I headed off to the airfield I turned on the radio to hear a lot of people ringing in wondering what the airliner was doing. Eventually a weather man from West Sale rang in to say Melbourne airport was fogged in so the aircraft was in a holding pattern waiting for conditions to improve.
