Bad Easter for Watts Bridge.

Sat 11th. Scale replica Spitfire nosed over on landing. No injury & damage unknown.

 

 

Sun 12th. Scale replica two seater Nieuport. Control apparently lost on take-off and crashed on the airfield just after leaving the ground.

 

 

Pilot (only occupant) compound fracture of one leg and lacerations. Extensive airframe damage.

 

 

That was a beautiful aircraft and had just started being test flown (about six flights up).

 

Both of them RAAus aircraft.
